Mexican Spanish isn’t simply a collection of slang. It includes the words, reactions and cultural references that appear in everyday conversations.

In these lessons, you build a clear foundation in Spanish while learning how the language is used in Mexico.

A small example

If someone calls your name in Mexico, you may answer ¿mande?

Depending on the moment, it can mean “Yes?” or “Sorry?” It’s often a polite response, not a command.

These small details help you understand not only the words, but what people mean in the moment.

Your lessons don’t start from zero each week

What happens when you try to use Spanish shows us where to focus. Maybe you understand a grammar point but can’t reach for it during a conversation. Maybe you keep avoiding a word or structure without noticing.

I use those moments to plan what we explore and practice next. Each lesson connects with the work we have already done.

How the lessons work

Lessons are one-on-one, 60-minute sessions on Zoom.

We may begin with a story, an everyday situation or something that came up while you were speaking. We slow the language down, notice useful patterns and practice them with guidance before using them in conversation.

These lessons are designed for adult beginner and intermediate learners who want to understand Spanish clearly and use it in real situations.

You don’t need to speak confidently before you begin. We work from the Spanish you already have, even if that currently feels like very little.

I’m a Mexican Spanish teacher and the creator of Lengua Amiga. I teach adults online and design materials that connect grammar, conversation, and Mexican context.

I keep learning about instructional design so every activity has a clear purpose. My work isn’t only to explain Spanish. I pay attention to what happens when you try to use it and use that information to plan what comes next.
